The biggest night is definitely the Oscars 2015. And it has already started. The red carpet has been rolled out and the most prolific actors have wore their Sunday’s best to shine in the limelight. Jennifer Lopez and Zoe Saldana have confirmed that they will be appearing during the telecast and will surely shine as they walk down the red carpet. J.Lo always has great fashion moments and we can’t wait to see what she will surprise us with this year.
Other presenters that have been confirm include Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Chastain, Viola Davis, Terrence Howard, Shirley MacLaine, Eddie Murphy, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Pratt, Octavia Spencer, John Travolta and Meryl Streep. We will also see up on the Dolby Theatre stage Oprah Winfrey, Chris Pine, Channing Tatum, Matthew McConaughey, Lupita Nyong’o, Jared Leto, Benedict Cumberbatch, Reese Witherspoon, Felicity Jones, Ansel Elgort, Kerry Washington, Naomi Watts, Cate Blanchett, Liam Neeson and many more.
At Stuff I have found out more about the best dressed and the worst dressed at Oscar 2015. So what are the best and the worst dresses?
Rosamund Pike is certainly a contendor for the title of best dressed, wearing a red-carpet red strapless Givenchy gown with a nipped in waist and thigh high slit revealing a matching red shoe. Another Brit winning on the red carpet was Keira Knightley who wore (as we predicted) one of the Valentino Couture Spring Summer 2015 whimsical nude tulle gown with floral detail and handwritten scribbles.
The good things first – that striking cut is definitely a showstopper, the midnight-blue colour is dazzling, and that silvery peroxide ‘do has won us over. But something about the gold detailing on Rita Ora’s Marchesa gown feels very Ivana Trump (and we mean peak ’80s). We’re on the fence on this one.
Today is the day we learned there was an arm equivalent of waders. You gotta give it to Lady Gaga, she’s not afraid of a wacky choice but those gloves are just a little too Dr. Frank-N-Furter in his lab working on making his own little man in gold pants.

Nicole Kidman’s voluminous blondey-red bob? Tick. Psychedelic sequins? Yeah we can get on board with them. Contrasting red sash? Sure. But then you notice the Flintstones-style jagged hem. The clashing silver shoe. The naff white and silver clutch. All together you have a real mish-mash of themes and we’re not sold on any of them.
Speaking of Ms. Stone – when she wasn’t attacking other actresses, she was sashaying down the RC in this lime green/chartreuse Elie Saab sequin gown.
Without a doubt, the top Oscar of the night is Best Picture. Trying to figure out who will win this accolade has been difficult. The 8 movies that are nominated are: “American Sniper,” “Birdman,” “Boyhood,” “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” “The Imitation Game,” “Selma,” “The Theory Of Everything” and “Whiplash.” Critics have been divided between Alejandro G. Iñarritús “Birdman” and Richard Linklater and Cathleen Sutherland’s “Boyhood.” The latter has edged out the former only by a small margin, but all will be revealed on Sunday night.
Enjoy Oscar 2015!
