The 57th Annual Grammy Awards kick off at 8 p.m. ET, but some awards for the pre-telecast program were already announced this afternoon: Beyoncé took home an early award for Best Surround Sound Album, while Kendrick Lamar racked up two for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song.
Eminem won Best Rap Album for “The Marshall Mathers LP2.” Neela Vaswani, who narrated Malala Yousafzai’s audiobook for I Am Malala: How One Girl Stood Up for Education and Changed the World took home the award for Best Children’s Album. And, to no surprise, Frozen‘s “Let It Go” won Best Song Written for Visual Media.
Another amazing night of music with haute couture. At the red carpet numerous music icon were amazing dresses by Valentino, Jean Paul Gautier, Elie Saab, Versace and other amazing designers. With a great AC/DC opening, the music stars where more than excited to start this night with some old rock and roll.
With more than 80 awards and numerous performances, the show started. The speeches and songs were short but powerful. Our favorite performances were made by Hozier with his greatest hit “Take me to Church”, Adam Levine singing with fashion icon Gwen Stefani “My Heart Is Open” taking the song by Marron 5 to another level, Paul Mccartney, Rihanna and Kayne West won the stage with “Fourfiveseconds”, Lady Gaga and Tony Bennet’s amazing “Cheek To Cheek”, Sam Smith with Mary J. Blige ”Stay with me”, Sia’s “Chandelier” and, closing our marvelous favorites performances of the night, Queen Beyoncé.
