Meet The Biggest Fashion Trends For Resort 2018 – By definition, resort season is the clothing delivery that has transformed from just what you wear on vacation to the most wearable offering of all and that season is here. Fashion Design Weeks is thrilled to share with you the trends that are currently taking place and will still be hot next year. The spotlight will then be on new cuts of denim, ancient Greece vibes, and the new It-accessories. Read on to see what everyone will be wearing for resort 2018.
Extra Wide Denim
Valentino, Oscar de la Renta, and Solace London proposals for resort feature heavy, wide-legged denim reminiscent of refined JNCOS (hello, adolescence). According to top buyers, skinny jeans are out and these looks really drive that home.
Vintage-Inspired Airline Bags
If you love the golden age of jet travel, then this resort season has a very nice surprise for you. Designers like Tibi and Stella McCartney are looking to the skies for their next It-bag: a rectangular, PanAm-inspired carryall.
Fendi and No.21 presented tube sock pairings, while Prada went athletic with compression-style socks to juxtapose its Belle Époque runway theme, proving the socks and heels trend is here to stay.

Tailored suits are still ruling the runway, with new iterations popping up finished in plaid. Look out for Glen plaid, checkered tweed, and more from brands like Louis Vuitton, Monse, and 3.1 Phillip Lim.
Statement Waist Belts
Altuzarra, Carolina Herrera, and Diane von Furstenberg are reminding us to pay attention to our belt game. With bold and chunky shapes and ’80s-inspired chain belts, you’ll be wrapped up in resort’s most playful accessory trend.
Elevated Thong Sandals
Gone are the days where thong sandals are crafted from uncomfortable plastic and intended for casual poolside dressing. Dior, Dion Lee, and Valentino are here to elevate the style in leather, feathers, and fur.
